ETSI Conference: White paper presentation and insightful discussions

Last week, our partners had an inspiring couple of days talking about the integration of Non Terrestrial Networks into 6G infrastructure and the future of connectivity at the latest ETSI conference “Non-Terrestrial Networks, a Native Component of 6G” in Sophia Antipolis. This highly anticipated event was an important platform for networking with peers working on shaping the future of telecommunications and disseminating what the project has achieved.

At the conference, we also presented the results of our white paper “Vision on Non-Terrestrial Networks in 6G system (or IMT-2030)” where we dove into the use cases, requirements, and possible standardisation approach. Furthermore, both our Project Coordinator and Technical Manager moderated sessions on national and international initiatives for NTN 6G and on next steps the global 6G community could be taking in the development of the NTN infrastructure.

Inspired and more motivated than ever, our partners came back from France with the following main take-aways:

  • The integration of 6G and Non-Terrestrial Networks is set to revolutionise global connectivity.
  • Collaboration between various sectors is not just important, it’s essential for the innovation of 6G.
  • Sustainability and smart implementation of these advanced networks are top priorities.

We are excited to continue being involved in the global discussion around Non-Terrestrial Networks and 6G and thank ETSI, ESA, Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) and 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association for organising this insightful conference!
